About
The Blueberry Swan Cottage is found in the Rivelin Valley which is east of the city of Sheffield and about 3 miles to the edge of the Peak District. Originally built in stone, this house goes back a number of centuries and recently it has been restored. Natural materials have been used to keep the traditional charm of the house.
Its location is very rural and you are surrounded by farmland and forests and with the peak District not far, you are never short of things to do. Thick walls allow the heat to be kept in during the winter months but also they provide a cooling in the very warm summers. The garden area is private and has a few fruit trees and plants, not to mention grape vines covering parts of the patio.
On the other side of the road from the cottage you can enjoy getting water from a well which has been preserved for hundreds of years. Within 5 minutes and travelling in a car you are in the Peak District.
Walking through the Natural beauty, you can pass by villages and many sites like Chatsworth House, the nearest public house to the cottage is about 5oo yards away. If you want to experience the busy city and shopping facilities in Sheffield you need to travel about 25 minutes to the Meadow hall shopping centre and the centre of Sheffield itself.
